Amy F. Stern is an Improvement Director at University Research Co., LLC working on the USAID Applying Science to Strengthen & Improve Systems Project (ASSIST) to assist countries to improve the quality of HIV services.  She manages The Partnership for HIV-Free Survival, a consortium of six countries working to improve services to prevent of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and leads activities to integrate nutrition, assessment, counseling and support (NACS) into HIV care and improve retention of antiretroviral therapy (ART) patients. She has many years of experience working on domestic quality initiatives with a focus on performance measurement and analysis against standards, quality improvement, and health services research.
