Technical Advisor, El Salvador, USAID ASSIST Project
Felicia Rubidia Girón is a Technical Advisor for the USAID ASSIST Project, working on Zika in El Salvador. She is trained as a nurse and health educator, and has worked in the hospital, community, university, and private setting. She has 35 years of experience working in epidemiology, research, adult education, and managing health programs in a diverse range of areas, such hospital-acquired infections, HIV, personal safety and wellness, and environmental health.
Ms. Girón first joined URC in 2006 to work on infection prevention and quality improvement and is currently providing technical support to ASSIST-Zika in San Vicente and Cuscatlán, El Salvador, two districts that have experienced some of the highest rates of suspected Zika in the country.
