Flora Nyagawa

Quality Improvement Advisor, Tanzania, USAID ASSIST/URC

Flora Pius Nyagawa is a Social Scientist who possesses a bachelor degree in Sociology and Masters in Social Work (MSW). She is experienced in working with community, HIV and AIDS, and Children programs. Currently she is working with University Research Co. LLC-USAID ASSIST Project in Tanzania as Quality Improvement Advisor – OVC Program. Her work in quality improvement has supported the Department of Social welfare of MOHSW in ensuring National Guideline for Quality Improvement in Care, Support and Protection of MVC is communicated to the point of service delivery. She has also worked with Walter Reed Program; ;Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) in strengthening capacity of Implementing partners to implement community based OVC program.She  has been engaged in development of key national policy and plans related to OVC Program in Tanzania specifically National costed Plans for OVC and other National guidelines, training manuals related to OVC.She has been collaborating with stakeholders at all levels from International, National, Regional,  District and community level in Tanzania.
