Jilly B. Motsa

Communications & KM Officer, USAID ASSIST Project/URC

Jilly joined the University Research Co., LLC (URC-Swaziland) in January 2014. She studied at Monash University at the South African campus where she attained her BA Degree in Communications & Media Studies. As the communications officer, she is responsible for supporting the Swaziland country team in documenting improvement interventions and results through multiple media, including video clips, photographs, monthly newsletter, interviews and case studies. She is also responsible for writing success stories and web stories about improvement interventions and results, making this information available as appropriate to USAID/CDC Mission website. Inclusive in her job description, she supports the country team in the design and implementation of knowledge-sharing activities within the country program. Lastly Jilly is responsible for identifying and pursuing avenues for disseminating results of Project work at national and regional conferences, partner meetings, and at national events.

Before joining URC, Jilly worked at two media houses. The first job was for a national newspaper the Times of Swaziland and shortly after, at the national radio station, Swaziland Broadcasting Information Services (SBIS). For both these jobs, Jilly worked as a reporter.
