Jude Thaddeus Ssensamba works as Quality Improvement Officer with University Research Co., LLC (URC) on the USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems Project (ASSIST). Jude supports 10 health units and four USAID supported implementing partners based in Eastern Uganda to improve the quality of safe male circumcision through building their capacity. He is also very much interested in learning the role of gender in safe male circumcision, a subject he is following keenly.
Prior to Joining URC, Jude worked with the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) Uganda, Makerere College of Health Sciences as a Regional Project Coordinator for the E-AMAKA (Expanded Adult male circumcision in Kampala) Project which covered 8 districts in northern Uganda, having risen from the post of site coordinator in the CDC (Centre for disease Control and Prevention) funded Project STATUS (Strengthening HIV testing and Treatment uptake Study) in the same organization. Between 2008 and 2010, Jude worked with the Medical Research Council/ Uganda Virus Research Institute Research Unit on AIDS (MRC/UVRI) as a study clinician with the Good Health for Women Project in Kampala Kibuye.
