Lopa Basu

US Liaison for the WHO Service Delivery & Safety Department

Lopa Basu is the US Liaison for the WHO Service Delivery & Safety Department (SDS) and Global Health Advisor for the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety & Quality. A board certified internal medicine physician, Lopa has previously worked with multiple NGO's including Jhpiego and Concept Foundation and has served on the UN Availability of Quality Maternal Health Products Working Group. Her current role as the US Liaison includes coordinating partnerships for WHO SDS with various agencies including: Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, University Research Co. (URC) under the ASSIST grant, and Johns Hopkins University/Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) under the CONNECT grant.
