Martin Muhire

Martin Muhire is an Improvement Advisor at University Research Co., URC) working on the USAID ASSIST Project in Uganda. His work involves working with the Ministry of Health, Implementing partners, Districts and Health unit teams to demonstrate how to apply the Chronic Care Model to provide better care to persons living with chronic conditions using HIV as an example through mentorship and coaching to identify health systems gaps related to provision of better chronic care and guide them to develop innovative means to address them.   Martin holds a Bachelors of Science in Public health, a diploma in clinical medicine and community health and a diploma in sonography. He was selected and is one of the EVGH 2014 (Emerging Voices for Global Health), a blended training program for young researchers on health research and scientific communication.
