Richard Musoke Kagimu

MNCH Improvement Coordinator, USAID ASSIST Project/Uganda, URC

Richard joined URC-CHS in 2016 as a project field coordinator with the Regional Learning Network in western Uganda, and is currently working for URC on the USAID ASSIST Project as an MNCH Improvement Coordinator. He has worked improving care within the technical areas of maternal newborn and child health, non-communicable diseases, and tuberculosis and has experience in health care management and leadership gained while working with the private health sector as a clinical director, where he co-pioneered health care clinics and led over 10 medical and surgical outreach programs to underprivileged communities across the country.  Richard is a medical doctor with a master’s degree in global health systems from the Institute for International Health and Development (UK), with a focus in health systems, human resource for health, sexual and reproductive health and project design and management. He is a Global Health Corps fellow and a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) fellow.
