Tim Quick

Senior Technical Advisor for HIV & Nutrition, USAID

Tim Quick has been the Senior Technical Advisor for HIV & Nutrition in the Office of HIV/AIDS at USAID and a Co-Chair of the PEPFAR Care & Support Technical Working Group since 2004. Tim started at USAID in 1994 in the Office of Health and Nutrition, working with micronutrient and other maternal and child health nutrition programs, as well as the nexus of agriculture, food security and nutrition. Tim was born and raised in Ohio and attended Ohio University for his undergraduate degree. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Upper Volta (Burkina Faso), and then received an M.S. in animal nutrition from The Ohio State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. He was an NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellow for 3 years at the Vanderbilt School of Medicine and for 4 years at the Boston University School of Medicine, conducting research on vitamin A metabolism.
