Tiwonge Tracy Moyo, MA, works for University Research Company (URC) on the USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project in Malawi. She is responsible for supporting the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare to pilot and finalise the draft orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) minimum quality standards for Malawi. In this role, Tiwonge supports quality improvement teams in 4 piloting districts to test the standards and document all improvement efforts in the communities.
Tiwonge received her MA from University of Lancaster in Lancashire County, UK and her Bachelors of Social Sciences degree from Chancellor College, University of Malawi. After her postgraduate studies, she joined a private packaging company and then worked for FHI360 for 6 years before joining URC in August 2012. She has extensive experience in OVC project management, HIV/AIDS programming, project monitoring, quality improvement methodologies, resource mobilization, contracts and grants management.
