Leading health care improvement: What leaders need to know to act. Lessons from East and West Africa
Wednesday, September 12th, 9:00-10:00 a.m. ET (Washington, D.C.)
On Wednesday, September 12 we hosted the final webinar of our ASSIST Legacy Webinar Series.
The webinar discussed leadership qualities and provided recommendations to leaders on how to demonstrate these qualities in their daily work in a way that will support facility and district managers to develop their own skills, and those of frontline providers, to improve service quality for HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment.
The webinar featured a short overview of key leadership qualities and attributes, and described ways to demonstrate them in practice. This was followed by a panel discussion with quality improvement experts and leaders from West and East Africa that drew on their knowledge and experience to understand why leadership for quality improvement (QI) is needed and how to best support development of QI leadership capacity.
