Baseline Assessment of Cambodia Health Professions Regulatory System
The ASSIST Cambodia team completed a baseline assessment of the health professions regulatory system in September 2014.
The objectives of the baseline assessment were to:
- Examine the current regulatory system and legal environment for health professionals in Cambodia against mandates described in current legislation
- Identify, in consultation with stakeholders, areas where the current regulatory system meet the requirements of a well performing system
- Assess whether the current system and environment is “fit for purpose”
A national stakeholders consultative workshop followed the assessment in October 2014 and gathered stakeholders across the country to formulate a five year strategy to strengthen health professions regulation.
The attached materials are outputs of the assessment and workshop, including the workshop agenda.
